On the use of “girl”

It bothers me when I hear people (women) complain about this, calling females in their 20’s girls. “Nobody calls males in their 20’s boys!”. The male sex has 3 common terms, boy, man, and guy. The plural “guy’s” can be used from teenagers to 80 year old men. Women have 2, girl, and woman. To a 50 year old man, and 21 year old is a girl, not a woman. Many people also wouldn’t call a 21 year old male a man, but they have the alternative of using “guy”.

It’s always a stupid complaint, but those are my thoughts on it.
